Pompeii was an important trading center in the Roman times which was located at the mouth of the Sarno river in the bay of Naples. Buried with ash and pumice stones by the disastrous eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D. and discovered by accident 16 centuries later, Pompeii  is one of the most popular archaeological sites in the world.  These ruins are the only place where one can immerse oneself in a Roman city with streets, the Forum, the houses and shops, frescoes and political propaganda on the walls , the old cemeteries and triumphal arches: in a nutshell two thousand years later everyone can experience the atmosphere and the splendor of an ancient Roman city.
