The meeting with your driver and a guide will take place at the port of call of your ship (Salerno, Naples, Amalfi or Sorrento) or at your hotel, at whatever time you decide. Either by limousine or minivan in roughly 40/60 minutes (depending on the start point) you will reach Herculaneum where you start with a visit to the Virtual Archaeological Museum. Afterwards, we will explore the excavations for a couple of hours with your private guide . After Herculaneum, we will head to the top of the Mount Vesuvius where you can marvel at the sheer size of the crater which opens up in front of your eyes . Time allowed: 90 mins.

This museum offers a virtual and interactive journey to live through the excitement of going back in time to the moment immediately before the Plinian eruption of AD 79 which destroyed the Roman cities of Pompeii, Herculaneum and Stabia.
