Sorrento and Positano: two different jewels
Sorrento, the most popular holiday resort in the Bay of Naples, has a very mild and pleasant climate. This beautiful and exclusive town of 16,000 inhabitants lives mainly on tourism. Sorrento boasts a nice historic center and a lovely coastline. It is also known as the birthplace of Torquato Tasso, a great Italian writer from the sixteenth century. Furthermore Sorrento is considered by tourists as an ideal spot to stay in whilst on holiday due to its geographical localtion and proximity to other tourist destinations such as Pompeii, Naples, Positano etc.
Positano is a small and very exclusive town of 3,000 inhabitants on the Amalfi Coast, an area recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
